I felt great today and I put on my favorite red hat and I went to Fernan to deliver a bowl, a soup pot, and some thank you notes. It was so great to see many of my friends and I got lots of hugs from kids. It was interesting that when kids first saw me, they were kind of shy. I look different to them of course. But when I talked with them I could tell they relaxed and were thinking "It's still the same Mrs. Johnson!"
I'm excited because Mom and Dad are coming tomorrow! Mom promised to bring goodies from the garden. I just love watching Mom in my kitchen. She can open the fridge and make a quick survey of what's there and then make a wonderful meal using whatever she finds. She is truly gifted. And we all get to enjoy her "gift"!
Have a great weekend. Thank you for your prayers! Love, Julie

Julie,
I am not sure if you remember me, I was really good friends with your cousin Pat Howard.
I just wanted you to know you are in my prayers.
I had to laugh when I read about your Mom being able to open the fridge and being able to make something out of nothing.....(not your exact words, but I think you know what I mean:)) I have a story about your Aunt Glo....
Pat and I and gone over to see Jim and Glo and we were all getting hunger and Glo said something like I don't know what to make...there is nothing in the fridge...well we ended up with a mini feast! You would never go hunger at Glo's there were always Chocolate chip cookies in her freezer! And I know your Mom is the same way!
Take Care Julie!

Julie..You don't need to be reminded that it is in our weakness that His power is made great. I lost the power to make many decisions for myself a year ago. I was so frustrated and lost so I got down on my knees and said God help me get through this. I know now that His plan for me was to help me grow in relationship with Him and to discover just how GREAT He is. My trust and faith in Him has never been deeper. All my decisions rest in His plan for me. I now know not only God but I know my Father.
When you get down and frustrted just remember He has a plan for you Julie. Trust in his plan.
Julie,
It was great to see you at school on Friday. You looked terrific! And thank you for the chocolate. :)
Continued prayers and thoughts are going up for you!!!!
