Julie and Greg

"Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength: they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary."

Much Better Day

Today was much better! We went to Coeur d' Alene Summer Theatre's production of Les Miserables this afternoon and it was so good and I only coughed one time. The voices were amazing and all of the characters sang with so much emotion. My favorite was Darcy Wright who was Epomine. Everytime she sang I felt like crying because she sang so beautifully.

I'm excited because I have two weeks off of chemo-therapy. My next chemo is August 26, Greg's birthday. That's when I will start my second cycle. But I will enjoy having some time to build up my poor tired cells and get ready to tear them all down again. Chemo is nasty stuff--but it sure is worth it to get well!

Sorry I was such a downer last night. But everyone says they want me to be honest. So I am!

Thank you for your prayers and for writing comments to my blog. You have no idea how encouraging you are to me. Thank you! Love, Julie

I give you permission to feel brief bouts of self-pity anytime you feel like it. Honesty is best. Glad to hear today is better. I start inservice tomorrow so I'm not so happy right now. I want to play in my ever growing studio. Did I tell you I have a dedicated little house in the back for all the toys? We just finished remodeling it to the point where I can safely record and store the instruments. 9 guitars! 7 synths a keyboard (the one at the 2006 reunion)amps and mics a dedicated computer and lights (yes, lasers, and stuff, even a fog machine!) It helps set the mood when I want to go into orbit in my rig. I'll send you a recording. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't play music. Are you playing that piano? Maybe you could write! I bet you have some great ideas in that massive, majestic, musical mind of yours. Let me know-I could give it a shot and record it. Jerry
