Thank you for sharing...

Thank you so much, Amanda and Maddie, for sharing your Mom with me! You have no idea how special it was to have my sister here for a few days! I know you missed her and now you have her back. So be extra nice to her! Thank you Rob, Lauren, and Zach too.

I loved spending time with my sister, Carolyn. She's so fun to hang out with. She energizes everyone. And she sure did help me get ready to be a classy mother of the bride for Betsy's wedding. (I always gravitate to the clunky man type shoes, but Carolyn steered me to the pretty "What not to wear" type shoes.) Jake and I took her to the airport this morning and now she's home in Billings. The house seems so quiet without her.

I have wonderful news...my blood test showed that I don't have to give myself fragmin shots anymore. My poor tummy was getting so full of little bruises from the dumb shots. Fragmin is a blood thinner that the doctor prescribed to dissolve the blood clots. Now I graduated to just taking coumadin pills. No more shots. Hurray.

I love reading your comments. It's been so great to hear from people I haven't talked to in a long time like my cousin, Debbie. (Debbie, I so appreciate your kind words.) And Jerry, you inspired me to maybe try writing some music. I haven't done that in years!

Thank you for your love and prayers. Love, Julie

Mom, that's awesome! No more fragmin!! What a relief that will be for your poor tummy.
It's so good to know that Jerry has inspired you to write music again! I love your music and had actually been wondering if you were playing at all - I know you haven't written in such a long time. I still remember the melody from what I think may be the last piece you wrote. It's so pretty!
Well, I love you and am always thinking of you, Mom. I'm so glad that you're surrounded by complete love!!
Love, Betsy

Julie,

I'm happy to hear you do not have to give yourself those shots anymore. What great news of the encouragement from Jerry to begin writing music again. I remember you always had the gift of puting to music thoughts in your head. It will be neat to have you share these once again. Always thinking of you. May God Bless This Day for
YOU. Love you Much, Dad

Hey Julie,

Back home and as you may guess, everything is already back to normal. I think you know what I'm saying! I also had a great time and am very glad I stayed those extra days. You were a total inspiration. Really. I admired your positive additude, even when trying on ugly dresses with your hair falling off and the energy that it took to shop like that under the best of circumstances. It is kinda of embarressing when your sister with lung cancer asks you if can make it just a little longer to check out the mall for shrugs. I must say that was the most I have shopped in a long time. We shopped liked three hours on Tuesday and were gone over four on Wednesday. But we found everything we were looking for. Julie was a woman on a mission and I was more than happy to be an assistant working with her. Go Michael Phelps! (Had to put that in for Jake). Have a great Day! Love, Carolyn
